does “0” count as a whole number? My graphic is basically covering the left third of the screen. I designed it in photoshop with the NTSC DV preset. Therefore, once I dropped the graphic in, I didn’t need to modify or move it at all. There isn’t even any text in the graphic, so that isn’t causing the problem.

I may have to re-capture my footage via blackmagic sp with a different codec. Do you think this might help?
    thanks for your time…

Playback setting is set on High. Render Settings on highest. I’m using DV footage, the graphic is a PSD. 720×480 (video pixel aspect ratio). Sequence setting is DV.

    intresting. I’m located in Utah.

Yeah, I checked out ebay, but of coarse the prices on any remaining stand alones are quite inflated. Still cheaper than buying the full studio though…

    I’ll keep searching. thanks.

I might add that I have searched the archives before posting. I tried many of the suggestions without success.

Do you know where I can get a stand-alone version of any of the programs that you can upgrade to the universal studio? I have the studio at work, but I would love my own personal copy. If I can get it for the right price, I’d love to!

I’m sure that standalones sold like hot-cakes once apple announced the upgrade option…

If you have a minidv camcorder with rca inputs, it’s pretty easy.

I just go straight out of the DVD player into the camera with either an RCA or S-Video input and of course the audio inputs. Hook up your camera to your computer via firewire. in the Capture window, disable device control. From there, just play back the DVD through the camera while at the same time capturing onto your hard drive. Voila!

I guess I wasn’t fair in saying that nobody ever answers the posts in that forum. In past months, I have posted a couple of postings that have gone unanswered, but you are correct in offering suggestions as to why…

Thanks for the help. I did just what you said and it looks pretty good. The only prolem is that the key layer is still BARELY showing through the mask. It looks like if I were to change the opacity to about 10%… any ideas?
