June 20, 2018 at 12:11 pm in reply to: Batch Capture without FireWire??

Thanks for the reply Bouke. I’d actually love to use firewire! ☺ Unfortunately a laptop with a firewire input is what I’m missing from the setup I used 10 years ago which is why I’m having difficulty capturing a batch of clips that I already logged from the tapes (over 10 years ago). So I’m not sure what advantage purchasing a deck would get me over using the camcorder itself. Will using the deck allow me to control in and out points in the capture window in PP? It looks like I might just have to buy a firewire expansion card.

From the Import File dialog select the first targa file, verify that Import As is set to “footage” and most important, verify that the “targa sequence” box is checked. This will find the rest of the targa files and import them into your bin as a sequence.

You might want to verify that it installed in the correct location. On my system it is installed in:

    Program Files\Adobe\After Effects\Support Files\Plug-ins\Professional\Professional Effects\Keylight

You can use the offset feature to change the letters and the range selector option to choose which letters are randomized and which letters are equal to the source text.
