figured it out. Amazing what you can find out when you read the manual.

  • Use the corner pin (perspective) motion tracker. Hopefully it is not a long piece of footage because you will probably tweek a lot of the end points on the tracker. Make sure the sun isn’t shining too strong. It help to have a consistent pixel color to track. Good luck

I would backup that file everyday under a different name in case it gets corrupt or something. If one thing goes wrong in the file, you would hate to lose yur whole project.

  • There are a couple of commercials and promos that I have seen that I would love to get insight on how to start these. If you happen to have kids and watch the Disney channel-like I’m sure your forced to do, there is a promo for some series that is called “Imagine That”. They are great animations that involves a keyed out video of a popular disney star that has all these moving ribbons and action going around them. I’m sure it involves 3D and cameras, but I don’t think there are any 3D elements in the promo. It’s sort of like the new Microsoft campaign you see alot on t.v. now where a series of vector elements and pictures are revealed in a fast paced enviroment.

I’m guessing in both those videos, there is a lot of masking in 3D world and using a camera. I don’t know. It would be great to know a starting point on how to do those commercials.

Thanks for all your help in the past few months,

    Brian
