I’m sorry for the trouble. the rep on the phone at cannon told me to turn HD down conversion on to get output form the camera. I think that is where I went wrong.

I’m havign the same problem… but the Canon XH A1s doesn’t seem to output video through firewire unless it is set to HD Down-conv. the Canon tech guy on the phone told me to switch it to that to get the firewire output. doesn’t make sense though. I can’t get video out of it unless it’s set that way and if I turn down converting off, FCP doesn’t recognize the camera.. any ideas? thanks

im having a problem right now of using a Canon XH A1s (not mine) and the footage is capturing at 720×480 and I don’t know why. I have the capture setting set to DVCPRO HD 1080i60… its the only setting that seems to recognize the camera.. GAH! this is frustrating..

any ideas out there?

ok.. cough it up gents! lol. how do you do it!? Can’t wait for the tutorial.. will that be ready by say….6pm today EST? 🙂
