[Kevin Kunze] “do you think this’ll give me enough memory to edit without lagging”

Todd is correct that for a laptop, this model is well balanced for AE work, however AE is not a real-time editor, depending on the type of projects you do there will likely be some ‘lag” due to the inherent nature of rendering for previews.

Any chance you could post the aep file? No need for the assets just the aep.

My suspicion is that the face rig expression and the DUIK rig expression use a common reference, i.e. to a the same layer, layer name, property name, layer index.

One of these may be evaluated first preventing the other script from executing properly.

This may not be the answer you’re looking for but for Shape layers the standard layer position transform (as opposed to the shape contents position) corresponds to the shape layer’s anchor point. You could position the anchor point by controlling the transform position, then move the layer contents position value to place the layer relative to its anchor point.

I don’t have access to 6.5 so I’m not able to accurately describe the dialog box, but in the output module settings dialog at the bottom is a checkbox to enable audio output.

In CS6 it looks like this:

How odd. Its not happening at all here. Is there anything unusual about your comp? e.g.: Anchor points moved, other expressions, effects applied etc?

I see the issue, just cannot replicate it here. Perhaps you should contact the author of the script.

Are you selecting the pin in the timeline? It works properly for me using DUIK v 14.11.

[Walter Soyka] “Multiprocessing in Ae is a bit of a kludge to let Ae’s traditional renderer exploit the multiple CPUs found in modern systems, more fully utilizing available resources. The ray-tracing renderer doesn’t use multiprocessing per se, but it does natively support multiple CPUs and can fully exploit available resources without multiprocessing.”

Are you saying that ray-traced rendering benefits from enabling multiprocessing within AE’s preferences or that AE will use multiple CPU’s regardless of whether MP is enabled?

I stand corrected, interesting, my version of unmult does not show these parameters either and I had never seen them.

[Alphonso Montgomery] “When utilizing the pre-set, the parameter controls are missing”

UnMult is not a preset but is a plug-in, it has no parameter controls, its purpose is to make the black areas of an image behave as an alpha channel.
