[James Carroccio] “I would like to keep all of the footage in one project file, but how can i create multiple “TIMELINES” ?”

Replace the word “project” with “event”. Put all your footage in one event. Organize your footage using keywords, including a keyword for each story line. Then create a discrete project for each story line. After you’ve edited them, make a compound clip of each, and intercut those compound clips into another project (your 4th now) to create your final edit.

This is what I might do. Others may have better ideas…

I dig this. Have you tested the longevity of the notches in the cinerails? Will the long pvc pipes snap in and hold after many snap/unsnap cycles? What is your retail price going to be?

Just based on the info you provided I would think 240 is plenty. I recently did the same with my MacBook Pro, except a 120gb ssd and it’s almost too small. I wish I had gotten a 240.

[Chris Harlan] “I stopped at my pet peeve though, which is binoculars.”

Totally with you on this. What was worse was each side had its own set of crosshairs. ???

I watched the whole thing and didn’t see a single gorilla. “we were shooting the car chase scenes gorilla style,” Or do did he mean that they shot the car scenes like a large ape would have? I don’t know…I’m a noob with this stuff.

Joking aside, that was pretty cool overall. Nice effects for low budget.

  • I’m sorry but why did you create this video? No one has time to sit there watching you slowly type out your thoughts, all the while making mistakes and correcting as you go. No comment on the accuracy of the information, since I gave up before you completed a single thought. If you aren’t going to speak your thoughts and demonstrate them, you have no reason to make a video. You could have typed everything into a post on this board and saved every reader 5.5 minutes.

  • [Richard Herd] “But the clip must be its own project.”

[Jeremy Garchow] “Maybe we aren’t speaking the same language, but cut/trim a clip, right click on it, choose open in timeline, the clip is all by itself on a timeline, Share.

Step back in to your Project.”

I got excited when I read this, but when I tried it, it exports the entire project. I tried with 2 different projects. Same result. Could you be leaving out any pertinent details?

And in case you’re not familiar with the font, that tail on the ‘U” shouldn’t be there. It’s part of the anomaly.

It is. And my exported ProRes file looks the same. The font is Helvetica Neue 67 Medium Condensed

I’ll see if I can get a PSD from the designer tomorrow with the text layers still intact.

Yes. Each layer is simple rasterized pixels with no layer effects or anything.
