    Thanks for the confirmation.

    So, i am still wondering,

Am I loosing any resolution coming out out of FCP via FW
over using a dedicated card going straight to Beta?

Using ProRes422 timeline out FCP through FW to an XL2 to Beta SP.

    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the responses,

So now I get to look really stupid…(I’m pretty good at that)
I connect the XL2 via Fw for deck control
and run BNC out of the XL into the card?

    Jason thanks for your time.

Thats how I was doing it and I was really hoping there was an easier solution.

I have to do this to several AI files going into AE.

My biggest problem has been getting the dots placement to look tight(consistent) on the curved letters (c-s-g-b-d-ect.)
Once I’ve created outlines from my text is there any way to center a path along the letters?

Errrra… new I missed that one all the way around.

    Thanks for the response, however…

I want to create circular holes running uniform inside the text.

Say an L with 4 vertical circles and 2 horizontal to match the shape of the letter.

If I am reading you question correctly you should be able to apply a mask to the layer and then feather the mask.

You could then animate/key frame the mask shape.

    Hope that helps.

Maybe just a bad render file.
Try toggling the on/off switch for that audio track and simply re-render it.
I have encountered that same problem before.

    hope that helps

Thanks’ for your patience and understanding.

I figured I could change the size of the videos.(more work, work, work)
I guess I was really hoping there was some simple fix/step I had overlooked.

I could also create the motion w/ the proper aspect ratios.

If you find some simple drag and drop method… please let me know.

    and again thank you.
