  • Thank you for checking out the C4D file! I have the phone in the fracture object so I can use the delay effector to smooth out the motion. Is there another way?

I’m rendering out from C4D with the animation texture. But I’ll get the Ae file together so you can see what’s going on. Hopefully you can see if I’m doing something wrong. I’d really much rather composite in Ae…

  • Thanks JC! I was considering that as a last resort. The big issue for me will be the reflections of the glass on top of the Ae comps animation. Did you have reflections on screen, and how did you deal with that?

I may have been a little confusing, but I was planning on compositing the 3D with Cineware in Ae. What you suggested is how I started out working, with the exception of rendering in Ae (I started with a dynamic link, I was a little anxious on how well that would work). I’ve not ever used the output module with project link. I’ll have to look into that!

Thank you for taking the time for advice!

Thanks Stacy! I will check on both of those before starting work.

This thread is 2 years old now, but I spent the better part of a couple hours looking for an answer, so I thought I’d post what I did here.

In order to ease into the final number, I used the built in feature of AE, Numbers. That way I had access to keyframes, and my usual ways of controlling easing (ie. eaze and wizz)
