Perhaps a roundtrip trough XML and do a search/replace with a text editor?
(I would use just the track with the PNG files, as not all effect info might get into the XML well.)Bouke

This is a typo. It should say Metadata button. (bottom, left of Queue)
But, you still need to encode the clip to ‘something’ afaik. (Then there will be a newclip.mov.xmp file next to newclip.mov)If you don’t want any encode , I can write a small util that will copy the XMP metadata from clips.
(I’m currently working on an app to get database info into XMP inside QT clips for a large show over here.)Mind you, you cannot alter the sidecar and expect Premiere to read it. Premiere only uses these sidecar files for file types that don’t support XMP. (MXF Op1a being one of them.)

23.976 is a non-drop TC format.
Thus, 24 hours worth of TC is NOT 24 hours on the wall clock.

afaik, Mp4 is a container format that can hold a lot of different codecs, including really good ones.
Next, it’s limited to 4K (Enough pixels, but not in your aspect)I second the ‘get the specs!’ statement.

24 FPS is ONLY used in high end Hollywood productions.
The rest of the world uses 23.976, 25 or 29.97
If you want to be in the 24 world, you would have the cam to work with.Now, did you do your homework?

You’re missing the point.
The blade HAS audio in, so you could use that. (But it’s crippled)
Alternative is a SoundDevices PIX, that has both SDI and balanced audio in.
I doubt there are FireWire recorders left. FireWire is limited to HDV afaik, and that means sacrificing 1/3 of the resolution and a bad codec. (Highly compressed 4:2:0)Bouke

It’s not an incorrect timecode stamp, it’s incorrect settings in FCP.
(And not the sequence settings, but some other setting somewhere, I forgot.)BWF contains a timestamp that can be calculated to TC based on the FPS wanted.
And it can (but not must) have an intended playback rate. (That makes no sense whatsoever to use to change the speed though, it is just an indication what TC framerate was used when the clip was recorded.)(And thus makes this another example that Apple has no clue what they are doing, they just put some stuff together and expect others to make sense of it. Have a look at the plugins, a lot of them are just templates on how to write plugins, and are not really usable at all….)

I’ve always used DVD SP in the past, but nowadays for the incidental DVD job I use tmpgenc authoring works.
Cheap and good, brings it’s own transcoder.
