Cause this was NOT the question, the question was how to marry two clips after syncing.

Rumor is that Canon bought out GlueTools plugin. I have never seen paid software from Canon, so i guess some of teh trouble will be over soon for free.
(but meanwhile there is still my (free) QTchange application to add TC to Canon clips, and my (not free) AUX tc reader if you have a lot of syncing to do.

Dude,
Mellow.
I myself had my finger on the ‘ move to basics button’.
Sync in timeline, select audio / video, press Cmd L (link), drag to bin if you like.

And now i WILL press the button.

In QT pro, go to menu Window
Choose ‘show movie properties’

delete the tracks of choice….
(this is what my app does also, but it can do it in batch…)

Perhaps disabeling is good also, if it works you can enable them if needed.
Just toy with it.

It will remove 3/4 in the blink of an eye.
(and it’s free)
Only worth the download if you have to do more than one clip, otherwise just use QT pro to remove the unwanted channels.

I don’t get it.
BWF timecode DOES NOT EXIST.
What BWF does have, is ‘samples after midnight’
meaning, if you start recording a 48K file at 10 seconds (00:00:10:00),
the BWF gets a timestamp of 480.000
Now it’s up to the editing package how to interpret that number.
So if you imported everything the same, you’re home free.

No idea how you have imported and what editing package you use, so i can’t really help you further…

UK based i don’t know, but i know a zillion over here.
Why not render/media manage some proxies and send / FTP them over here?
(Then it’s just swapping out timelines)

Not sure what kind of work you want to have done, but my Dutch is excellent, so i could perhaps do it…

I’m not sure what you are after, but you can (batch) remove audio tracks before starting to work on them.
Use this free tool to do so:

But a warning, you cannot undo this…
So if the ugly audio is needed for syncing, you’re out of luck…

Probably not, since the project refers to the plugin.
But you can always have the other guy to install the plugin as well.
It comes with Subbits, the whole reason it’s in there is to lure people to try it and experience the speed of working with it vs entering your titles in FCP 🙂

And i promise to make more tutorial videos showing off the speed and ease.
