I saw a reference to your tutorial just after I posted and found it quite helpful. Thanks.

I am definitely missing the last text file and all of the icons.

Interesting that on the folder with all the 60fps footage (mentioned as item #2 in my first post) there was no last text file and those files imported regardless. Odd.

Another question… why would the other folder have only files with the .dv extension? Is that because it is missing the last text file? Should they have been converted in the camera? Does FCP convert them?

I am meeting a great deal of resistance from the camera tech who does not want to meet up and re-export the files, so I would like to know as much as possible to engage in an educated discourse with her.

Again, I know that these are beginner questions… but I am a new convert to FCP and it’s been a tough road getting away from thinking like an Avid editor.
