There is a tool called Cinematize that will pull the video off of a dvd with little or no resolution loss. Give this link a try.

I’m still getting that artifact though. I only seem to get it when I render out of Ultra chromakeying software to Vegas. I’m rendering out to a Huffy codec. Maybe there’s something in the Ultra render that’s causing it.
