Francois, I am hoping also…but I think Elvis Deane may have known something was amiss when he started his post with RIP, and Alan also must have known this was coming but could not say anything. What’s that old saying about ‘buyer beware’?

    Elvis,
Thank you for your comments. They echo the sentiment of several users that still check into the forum. I have just about memorized your “Cooking” cd from years ago. Glad to see you still use pi on occasion.

  • Francois,
Thank you for the download link, when I get home this evening I will download it.

  • Perhaps you and I are the only ones who noticed this. GenArts seems to be making changes….they are going to discontinue Sapphire Edge for Vegas Pro video platform, maybe they moved on in regards to particleillusion also. What a shame.

You may get a faster response and solution if you email their support department at: https://support.genarts.com

    Brian,
I, too, appreciate your comments. I can also appreciate your concern with the ‘bottom’ line as far as allocating any development to PI. But I also agree with Francois on all of his points. (However, I did not receive an email from Alan). Your user-base has grown accustomed to the familiarity and potential of this product and I, for one, would like to see it continue. The longer you wait to improve/enhance PI, the more customers you are losing and that doesn’t necessarily mean they are migrating to GenArts.

It is extremely sad to say, but it looks like all of your questions are answered by the lack any type of response from Alan since September of last year. It appears as though Alan and GenArts have “left the building”.

    Just my opinion.

October 26, 2015 at 11:38 pm in reply to: OT – VLC question

Steve, I downloaded the current version of VLC/64 bit and installed it in Win7. However, it doesn’t see any of the .iso files created by DVD Arch/Bluray. The install was fine, I have tried to navigate through the VLC interface and as I said it doesn’t see any of the files. I used Windows explorer and right-clicked and selected ‘Open with’ and chose vlc.exe and again nothing. Any idea what I have done wrong? Thanks for any help you can give.

Thank you Steve for the quick answer. I looked at the vlc home page and read some of the forum remarks and truthfully, this seems way too complicated for me. Some of the remarks mentioned creating folders and copying ‘keys’ to get Bluray to work. I am just looking for something I can install with one click to play the .iso folders I created with VegasPro 13/DVD Architecture. I guess I am spoiled with the ease and simplicity of these last two programs I mentioned.

    Thanks again.
