Just to clarify, I have this problem with the rocker control on the EX1 lens, not the button on the top of the camera handle. The zoom stutters when trying to do a slow push. I have an external control from my Canon pro lens, but I need to purchase an adapter to use it. BTW, this can happen on very expensive lenses too.

I think the EX cams are a better all around choice. They won’t give the shallow DOF of the FS100 without a 35mm adapter, but they are very flexible.

Yes. I think you are right. I can’t seem to turn off the stretch. I guess a Vegas 11 upgrade is a good idea. Thank you for the info.

Maybe so. It works fine on my XP box. I don’t use AVCHD.

Never saw the issue about not being able to select a clip.

So, your computer does see the card? Can you drop files on it?

Thanks for your reply. I am on Vegas Pro 8 and there is no option for automatically crop under Options/ Preferences/ Editing. I can’t select the clip on the timeline either. I can’t delete or modify it. Weird.

Does your computer see the card in it’s SDHC slot or with a USB adapter?

That would be welcome. I have noticed people selling the 8 gig cards pretty cheaply. I don’t think they are made anymore.

I use one. It has been great. Runs a very long time. I don’t know how it compares to the clones out there.
