    Ah well,

At a pinch go to Blu-Ray if you can, it will retain all the quality ? But, I have never tried it, except normal 1920 x 1080p direct to Blu-Ray ?Use a BD-RE if it does not work ?

  • You could use Pro Rescue from SanDisk which may have come with the CF Card, it is amazing how it can Rescue accidentally deleted clips etc from both the CF card and Computer hard drive ?

You could download if no Rescue Disk is available ?
But, do NOT write over the corrupted cards, it may be the end.

In 3-4 years using the Canon5D Mark II, H.264mov files (1920 x 1080p) in Premiere Pro this has never happened unless you accidentally move the audio from the video. You must have the speed and input settings correct. You can,(unlink) as you know separate the audio from the video, just move the audio in sync with the start of the clip .It should have nothing to do with the computer’s Raid or hyper-threading set up.

    Good luck

    Hi Wayne,
I have been using the f/3.5-5.6 IS USM EF28-135mm for 3 years, checked by Canon Service and cleaned once only.

See Canon for Specifications for details.

Not sure what you mean by constant (AFIK) but, I usually set this at f/5.6 and let it choose its own aperture , as the variable ISO settings on this camera is amazing, you do not need a fast lens in low light. I have shot video at speeds of 1/50, 1/125, and 1/500 sec with no adverse effect on smoothness, the results have been truly amazing.

Do not take my word for it, try the lens out when you get the Camera.

A+ is the automated ISO setting and can be extended beyond ISO 6400

I usually use -1 aperture compensation to reduce over exposure ?

For high definition video I prefer to use only an image stabilized lens unless you want to use a tripod all the time.
I dropped the f 2.8 28-70mm L EF lens $2.000 (it is a great lens) but , too heavy, for an Canon IS 28-135 EF as it was more useful @ $750. For video it is ideal hand held, even the stills look very good.
You can fix any camera movement in Premiere Pro but, it is not the best way to go. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oz1-Tvi2GQo&list=WL6A248DDF77FF164A&feature=mh_lolz

    Hi Juan,
Note :Acquisition with Technicolor’s CineStyle will generate what appears to be a flat, de-saturated looking image. While this image may appear unappealing and undesirable, it is in fact an ideal starting point for post-production and color correction.
To properly color correct and/or view footage shot with Technicolor CineStyle we recommend utilizing a S-curve shaped look-up table (LUT) in your editing or color correction application. You may download such a LUT using the links provided.

Peter has obviously had some success with this plug-in, but,in my experience it appears to degrade the perfection of colour in Travel Documentary in particular, and you only mess around with the S Curve etc and there is no real advantage in that to get it back to what it was. it certainly is not as good as the Technicolor 35 mm Film of yesterday. Perhaps it is a matter of taste ? High definition video is just fine as it is out of the Canon 5D Mark II, see Canon’s “Reverie” production ?https://www.learn.usa.canon.com/galleries/galleries/sample_videos/reverie.shtml

    good luck
