I have solved the issue. I’m not exactly sure what is wrong, however I changed my settings to regular pro rez not HG and I am now using Compressor instead of Bitvice.

Okay, just got done viewing the footage in DVD studio pro and the encoded file looks fine. Its not until it creates a TS file that there is a problem.

I’ve gone back and checked previous videos that I’ve created before I started to output everything in HD pro res and there is no such movement stuttering. It is only on the DVDs I’ve created in the last several weeks.

I’m viewing this both on a 30″ apple cinema display and on from a DVD Player.

From the 30″ cinema display when I view the HD.mov footage everything appears fine. The one thing that I forgot to mention is that I am down converting the encoded footage to SD mpeg2 from bitvice.

This video has not been compressed. This is footage exported directly from FCP set as Same as Sequence.

To edit in ProRes can I simply import the footage from the HDV Tapes as HDV and drop them into a timeline with ProRes Compression in the timeline settings?

Will this make a difference at all?

So are you saying that there’s nothing I can do about it?

Good advice, I think I may do just that. I’ll wait until at least NAB to see whats up apples sleeve.
