  • The Ayato example used card dance to achieve his/her look. You’ll need to RTFM for the exact particulars, but basically Card Dance is using a Greyscale layer to offset the z depth of the letters. For best effect you’ll probably need to use a monotype font and set the grid in card dance to match your letter spacing. Next you’ll create your grey scale map too offset the letters. That will be you biggest challenge, to create the greyscale map in such a way that some of your letters aren’t split in two.

DVGarage.com has a compositing toolkit that comes with their dvMatte Basic Plugin and a bunch of materials to use to teach you how to use the plugin. It’s an excellent plugin for dv footage and above. The URL is

Whether it’s for resale or not, whether it’s for a small group or not, it’s still a copyright infringement. If it’s not for home use (which for the most part means you and your immediate family) your stepping into waters where I know I wouldn’t want to be.

A suggestion…try the Preminger Collection…do a search for it…it has a fairly large archive of public domain films and videos and may contain something you can use.

    Otherwise, good luck.

Yes you can play back 8-bit uncompressed of a FW800 drive. I can play 2 streams of same off my G-Raid. That being said, will it have enough throughput to play a half-hour show? Don’t know and am unwilling to test it. If your doing 30 second spots I would say go for it. If your doing longer format stuff I would say invest in the SATA drives.
