Avid DVD as you may already know is Roxio, Sonic DVDitProHD and has never been a very good application and support for it from Avid or Roxio is horrible Avid should be ashamed to bundled this useless software with MC. I just purchased MC 5 with Avid DVD and have never been able to author a usable DVD. Too buggy, always has been. I use Encore. As much as I hate Adobe Encore is the best thing available for authoring at the present time. Very disappointed in Avid to the point where I am now considering FCP and getting away from PC and Avid crap all together. I don’t think they’ve ever really listened to professional users and are happy with the students and others willing to plunk down hard earned money to be beta-testers. I’ll never understand how Avid has retained the title of “industry Standard” when they bundle MC with consumer software that doesn’t work and the new MC5 doesn’t support AMA for the most popular cameras being used by the masses.
