What is muxed/demuxed? (Sorry – I’m not very technical).
I’ve squeezed the original clips from Quicktime references (audio in a seperate aiff file) in an Avid Xpress to PAL mpegs (video to mpv and audio to mpa files).

I’ve tried squeezing the clip which the error refers to on a different machine (from a ‘same as source quicktime’) and replaced it in Encore, but now I keep getting the message: “Unknown Error – DVD Error -1” when burning. At least there doesn’t seem to be an error on the clip!

Have tried restarting Encore as well – no change.

Same error comes up when building DVD folders.
If it helps at all, the error comes up as it says ‘planning video for movie’.
I’ve used Sorenson Squeeze to compress these clips for DVD – on the same settings I’ve used dozens of times (on this project and others). Could this have anything to do with it?

The exact wording of the error:

PGC “clip2 name” has an error at 00:00:00:11.
    Unknown error.
    (DVD error – 1)

The first time it came up with a different clip and after viewing this in the monitor, it seemed fine. The next time it came up with this clip and I’ve tried reimporting it, reexporting it, recompressing it and almost every other option I can think of – it still is stuck on that error.

    Thanks for your quick reply.

Tried Shift+CTRL and the Preview window is back! Thanks so much.

Sorry about the late response. I’ve tried deleting both files again several times now, emptying the recycle bin, even restarting the computer after deleting them and before relaunching Encore. The Preview window is still out of frame.
Is it worth re-installing Encore to see if that will fix it?

    Thanks for the tip.
I’ve just tried it, but the preview window is still MIA. Any other suggestions?

    Thanks Jeff,
I’ve put the animation in a menu and that works fine once burnt onto a disc. Shame about the preview though – that still shows black.
    thanks again 🙂
