Hi Ezio,

V1-background
V2-animated matte
V3-fill: click on the fill clip in the timeline to hilight it, then go to menu Modify>Composite Mode>Traveling Matte Alpha or Luminace.

Randy-

I have experienced the same flicker issue. I don’t have an explaination, but here is a alternative. Add a slug under your cclip and copy and paste the clip attributes to the slug: filters and motion settings. Turn off Shadow on both. Then offset the slug clip for your shadow. You may need to adjust the slug opacity for the desired shadow density.

Peter, go to “Log and Capture”. click on the “Clip Settings” tab. Then check to see if the speaker buttons for audio 3&4 are green. If so then click them and they will be turned off. Clips that have already been logged can be change when you digitize them by un-checking “use Logged Settings” when the Batch digitise window appears.

We have experienced the same problem in FCP 5. The artifact only showed up when I added a Drop Shadow in the motion tab and I rendered it. I made a new sequence preset and deleted the old one. Problem went away.
