I recently spoke with the plug in manufacturer that Adobe uses QuVIS Technologies, and they indicated that unless you are on OSX 10.10 for MAC that
DCP export will not work for feature films. We did do a short export test and that worked fine–but the program would lock up doing a feature export. He’s indication was that they are working with Adobe to resolve the problem.

In the meantime we used dcpomatic.com and it seemed to worked fine. However we have not had the screening yet, so I’ll update once the screening occurs.

Update- if you are using adobe cc auto synch, your synch
Will be 1-2 frames out with the 5d. Just be wary and always check your synch!

I’ve been using my old Panasonic E55 which puts the menu at the back of the show. Anything new out there with no Menus? Thanks Bill

Yep, my refund is in the works. I simply listed that I could not use it
with my Red files–no disagreement there 🙂

We just did a shoot.Use a separate WAV file recorder. Use a Time code slate/ with clapper. Then sync to the TC on the slate. Have your sound guy lay TC on the audio. IN NO WAY USE AUDIO FROM THE CAMERA-it’s really bad. I believe the 5d is running at 23.98. Syncing Works fine in FCP. Good luck!
