Multicam doesn’t work that way in FCP. I’ve heard of three different ways to work around it. (assuming you have time of day, or otherwise matching timecode)
#1 – is to make a new angle for each motor stop on the third camera. This allows you to have your single multiclip, but it can get cumbersome depending on how many motor stops you have.
#2 – Is to make a multicam sequence. This will have FCP do the grunt work for you, and create a full length time of day stringout comprised of all the possible multiclips that can be made from your footage.
#3 – Is to cut the clips from cam 3 into a new sequence, adding slug so that the clips play out in synch with the other cams. Then export, and cut that new QT into a multiclip. This could be a disaster, since you are creating new media that won’t match back to a tape.
I’m a fan of #2. Not sure why I put it 2nd. Good luck.

Is the once every thirty days thing done through IPs? Cos I got one at home, and then I just got once here in the office. On the same netbook.

Thats a big question, especially in the scope of tape and tapeless projects. Here are some thoughts.
For your tape-based projects, as long as you’ve properly logged your tapes, all you really need is the FCP project file, and any non-tape elements (gfx, music, etc.). Generally this can all fit on an archival DVD or two. Simple.
A step above that is using media manager to create a consolidated project. Using the ‘copy’ and ‘remove unused media’ functions in the media manager, you can make a version of your project that discards the media that is not used in your final timeline. This allows you to have the project at your fingertips for quick changes, while greatly reducing the amount of archival storage needed.
Tapeless media has greater archival needs. Best practice is to make two redundant copies of the disk image of each card used. From there, you will extract the media into FCP and perform your edit.
As far as storage goes – external hard drives are very popular. Everyone has horror stories about this brand or that brand dying. They _all_ die. For critical archives, you should have a redundant pair of everything you want to save.
If you’ve got a lot of data to store, data tape formats like DLT and LTO are becoming popular for video people. They’re expensive, but if you’ve got the volume, it will save you money.

It’s simple, really.
Export a reference movie of your finished timeline.
Use the preset in compressor for DVD video 16:9 (say best quality 90 mins), and a DVD audio preset.
Drop the resulting files in DVDSP, and burn away.

The duration of your in-to-out is show on the canvas window.
Either the upper left, or upper right (i’m not in front of my system right now).

Best thing would be to make a PAL master tape and have it transcoded to NTSC.
2nd best would be to finish your project in PAL, export a quicktime, and have compressor do the conversion to NTSC.
Trying to change your timebase on an FCP timeline is a recipe for heartache.

I still use my dual-proc G4 on occasion. It loves 5.1.4, and I love it.
