    Hi John,

I was hoping that you might answer. Here is a link that should work…

Ys, I was applying Pro animator to a comp-sized solid.

In reading the above post(s) I think I would try to use proxies for design, and the playing around part of the job, then when pleased with that render out the full HD resolution.

Would this be a good use for proxies? If so—could someone explain the workflow when using proxies in a situation like this?

    Yep, I have dual monitors.

Still working on the problems….have now uninstalled, upgraded to Express Pro HD 5.something….now I can’t even get the application to open!

Now getting this error…The procedure entry point ?DeviceSeekToTimecode@CDigitalDeviceControl@@QAE?AW4DDCError_t@@Timecode_t@Core@@@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library digitalio.dll.

    AvidXpressProHD.exe-Entry Point Not Found

Affect Effects is my real workhorse program..I just use Avid to put finished elemetns together.

March 9, 2006 at 10:40 pm in reply to: AE- 7.0 render error…

    I wrote eariler…

Render has been frezzing at the same place and I get this error…
BFX API Eror: Not enough storage is available to process this command. XIImage Native.cpy 751

After a lot of digital dickage I have found out that Boris Contimuum Complete 3.0 is not compatable with AE 7.0. Part of the problem is that you don’t KNOW THAT until you try to output render. Ram previews work fine. I believe this is what was causing the error.

    Cowcrap.

Here’s what I do in the same situation…
Render Settings: make sure Render Field is set to “lower”
Output Module: OuickTime, under format options select Animation and millions of colors. Also select in Channels: RGB+Alpha and under Color: Premulitplied (Matted).

The other thing to check is the import and create media setting with Avid Express Pro, or have the editor do that for you.

    Hope this helps.
