March 9, 2006 at 5:05 pmHere’s what I do in the same situation…
Render Settings: make sure Render Field is set to “lower”
Output Module: OuickTime, under format options select Animation and millions of colors. Also select in Channels: RGB+Alpha and under Color: Premulitplied (Matted). The other thing to check is the import and create media setting with Avid Express Pro, or have the editor do that for you.
Hope this helps.

March 9, 2006 at 5:51 pmI find that if you are going to go with premultplied, you should change the bkg color of your comp to match the glows, otherwise you will often get black outlines around your text glows.
Of course if you are laying this over black it won’t matter, but over video, especially lighter colored subjects it’s often very noticable.

March 11, 2006 at 3:34 pmAvid does not support premultiplied alpha. You will need to use straight alpha in your render settings.
