    It wouldn’t appear to be either, it’s more of jerkiness that gets worse when the camera is moving around quite a bit. Perhaps the best way I can describe is as if there aren’t as many frames as there were in the source material and the video isn’t as smooth as a result.

    The original footage is from a Nokia N86 mobile phone.
    Gspot gives the fps as around 60/sec but isn’t very clear,
    I have done a gspot export if you want to take a look.

    I’m in the UK, hence my choosing PAL.
    I can try rendering it as NTSC/29i as you suggest,
    modern TVs are fairly tolerant of differing TV standards I believe?
