Got it, I appreciate the input – I will try to set sequences to pro res and see how it goes – But just to clarify – the transfer to pro res from xdcam should carry no quality loss correct? I am only using about half of my HD space so the transfer to pro res is not really an issue – I just want to make sure I am not losing anything with that transfer to pro res.

Thanks for the tips – I’ll check try to defrag, and rebuild my system.

Very strange. I just did a test render of this linked project – and it took 10 minutes to render with multi processing disabled. And then I moved over to a cloned machine of mine – exactly the same setup – and the same exact render took 2 minutes.

I think a fresh install is warranted.
