Yes I know it is there, and I can see both fields in the viewer.
I have also removed the check box field jitter in the blackmagic system preferences.

When using FCP7, I get both fields on a stop frame, in the viewer and on my video monitor,

When using FCPX, I get both fields on a stop frame, in the viewer but not on my video monitor

Hello,

my system has been rock solid for the past 2 years.

Last week I noticed for the first time the same problem, the first image disappeared on edit to tape. It happened only twice since then.

G5 quad
running 10.4.9
Kona LHE driver 3.3
FCP 5.1.4
Qt 7.1.5
Protocol Sony RS-422

Try unchecking use dithering in the render options tab, it helps with 16 bit float sometimes
