I believe you can try a Steve Lucas VF Breakout Box. Try Plus 8 digital.

Seems to me the logical way would be for the HDX-900 rates to match with Varicam rates. Hopefully the rental houses and owner operator would stand their ground. 🙂 What other 2/3″ camera besides the F900 will do 24p work for 1080i delivery?

    Michael,

How does discovery HD know if you’re using a HDX900 if you’re delivering in 1080i? Did they require HDCam masters? What about images from the previous HDX400?

” I very much doubt that the “H” setup cards are transferable, there are many functions that are unique to the Varicam that would only corrupt the HVX900 (Dynamic level, frame rate, Film Rec, Video Rec, etc.)”

John is correct. Varicam files will read as errors on the HDX900. However, you can customize and save your settings on 1 of the 8 scene files. This will eliminate the need to carry 2 cards if you will be using the varicam and then switching to HDX900.

    Hi Taylor,

I see you were on Ron Ayers’ top list.

“Todays find…”Line Mix”…6db of gain with no noise or image lag. Not really sure how this works or what the trade off is but I am sure it will come in handy.”

Have you tried and is that the same as D.S.Gain (only in 1080i mode though)?

Subway! Blech. Whenever production wants to feed us subway for lunch, I have an old saying: I work hard just to NOT eat subway, and today, I’m working my ass off AND you want me to eat subway?

Tony, what’s your email address? I have an early xmas gift for you…
