I was having the “low on memory” error sporadically when trying to render my videos. The only way I could fix it was to open Sony Vegas again (so two running at the same time) and copy and paste my timeline pieces to the new Vegas and new timeline. Quick and easy to do and was the only fix for me. Hope it is some help.
