Sony Vegas 9.0 Platinum “Exception has occured” Error
Just currently finished up a 14 minute long edit, but every time I try and render the project (either in .wmv or .mov formats), I receive an error message that says “An error occured while creating the media file [filename].wmv The System is low on memory”
Other times I get one that says “An error has occured while creating the media file [filename].wmv An exception has occured”

Render it out as NTSC-DV and see if all renders well.
If it does, you simply drop the new render back on the
timeline and render out to whatever format you want.
Always difficult to know what really gives those errors

Thanks for the response. I’m trying to render it as NTSC-DV now, but it’s stopped rendering at the 64% mark for the past 10 minutes or so, with the estimated time remaining sitting on 00:00:00. Should I just leave it alone for a while or cancel it and start over?

I was having the “low on memory” error sporadically when trying to render my videos. The only way I could fix it was to open Sony Vegas again (so two running at the same time) and copy and paste my timeline pieces to the new Vegas and new timeline. Quick and easy to do and was the only fix for me. Hope it is some help.
