Brandon and Dwaine – thanks so much! WFM factory reset worked perfectly.

Bump/Update – Have been emailing Canon and they seem as perplexed as I do. We have however established that it will allow us to set virtual media as it should on a folder on the C drive…I copied one of the CF folders onto the C drive and it worked, although via USB this is unviable with over 5TB of footage.

Let me know if anybody has any suggestions at all…

    Cheers,

Hi Craig, thanks for your response!

I’m not using it because I can’t find it anywhere. I’ve tried searching for it to no avail. It appears to only be available from the software disc, which is 300 miles away from location ATM. Is it a Canon plug in for the L&T function for XF305/300’s specifically?

    Thanks,

Fantastic, thanks for all your input – Jeremy your walkthrough sorted us brilliantly.

The only remaining issue is that it’s now jittering on first load of the website, is this perhaps because the file size is too big? Upon refreshing it’s fine, I imagine that’s because it’s stored in cookies. ALso the I of the COMING SOON has got issues when all the letters come in, any ideas?

Thanks again for everybody’s help, heavily appreciated!

Brilliant, thanks Brian! I want it to loop on the webpage. Which do you think is easier? I don’t know how to use Flash although one of my friends and I tried to do the action script the other day using internet tutorials and we couldn’t get the hang of it, we were short for time though so could probably work it out eventually.

If we were to have the flash animations on the webpage flowing from the fade in to the looping animation would it be seamless and simple to code? I guess for arguments sake it would be easier to have it all in one full flowing image though and so to spend some time with the flash action script.

Okay so using the original PSD still image composition is there a way to do this without time remapping? Or would you suggest exporting in another (if so what?) format?

    Thanks for the quick answer.

  • Hi Noah, thanks for your answer. It played on my ps3 fine, came up as folders on the mac, and was damaged on my PC – it’s frame rate was hugely slow and the audio seemed to be in super slow motion too…any ideas?

Thanks for getting back to me, I don’t have compressor though. Are there any other options/applications?

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for your response. We were aware of pasting attributes but just wanted to know if there was a way to attribute every shot in the project before actually piecing it together in the timeline. If there isn’t then we’ll live with it and colour it at the end or scene by scene then.

    Thanks again.

Hi Jerry, it was mp3. I did some research and found out about FCP’s dislike to mp3, converted to AIFF and all is fine now. Thanks for your reply.
