  • Burning a 20gb file to DVD…

    Hi,

I have a 21gb file which is 40 minutes long. I need to burn this DVD (4.7gb) but only have a single layer DVD burner. I have a mac and a PC, does anybody know how I can get around this problem!?

    Thanks in advance.

    B

NB: The file is actually in 720 enhanced HD, would buying a HD DVD perhaps solve this file without losing out on quality? I don’t mind losing out some quality to compress it to a 4.7gb DVD but just have no idea what any of my options are!

Use a compression application like Apple Compressor to create an MPEG-2 file that you can easily fit on to a DVD. Just choose one of the presets in compressor

    Do you have iLife?

    If you don’t, get it.
