December 16, 2008 at 1:22 am in reply to: How much to charge for editing, post, shooting?…Well, to be honest – I work out of my apartment, I am very broke, but really like editing. My overhead isn’t much, just really have to pay rent and some bills right now, so $25/hr sounded reasonable at the time, being more than I’ve made at any previous job!
But soon I started to realize what some one pointed out – if it’s too low, people question your experience, or don’t take you seriously. So I came to this forum. I wanted to get some figures from people and adjust it based on my experience level.
Also – Where can I find a contract template for this work. I’ve been taking clients at their word, but I know I’ll get screwed here pretty soon if I keep it up. Can some one point me towards a fill in the blank contract, or email me one.

what’s a good plug-in (hopefully free) to do this, I saw the site listed on the first reply post and he mentions some plugins, are there any to do this?

… well at least, how could I get my little guy to shoot something and destroy a block, in semi random fashion, possibly accelerated? I could start there…

Thanks Dan.
Maybe I could make do with something that gives the hint of space invaders and could “shoot” each letter off real fast before too many complications got involved.

Well, I can hopefully upgrade to CS3 soon, but I have AE7, can I still do anything there?

Thanks for the responses.
Frank: Yes, you are right, it might be. But still something I would like to know how to do.
Thanks Thorsten!
Side question, is there a way to create a cylinder from a solid? (as to be inside of and spin around) Or even a sphere?

Oh and one more thing… for some reason the aforementioned text isn’t casting a shadow with a light on it, but everything else is casting shadows. It is in a 3D layer, I also checked all the material properties’ settings and they’re the same (cast shadows, accepts lights: on)Is there something I am missing?
