yeah that would be nice, so people don’t waste five minutes reading a post when they could be doing something a lot more productive

its fixed guys.
the issue was that I was running windows 7. I downloaded a few codecs/ and packages, but it still didn’t work.

I did a google search for windows 7 codecs, found a package, downloaded it, and now it works, i have audio and video.

downloaded gspot and tried an avi file, it says codecs already installed… so why won’t the video show on vegas? maybe i should reinstall it??
