Original footage-

a couple of clips from a digital camera:
640×480 on a panasonic lumix DMC-FS5
30 FPS VGA onto a 8 gig micro SD.

Also:

In terms of sequence codecs, they’re the same as the Camtasia codecs. I must be doing something pretty newbish. I went into user preferences to find that info.

Camtasia screen captured footage in 640×480. Converted to .mov or .avi
it still takes 2 hours for 13 minutes of footage. I haven’t added anything to it. I just threw it into final cut and it needed to be rendered. The audio would play if i fast-forwarded through it, but if i tried to just play it, it would just give me the “unrendered” screen.
