I am currently shooting HDV, but I regularly come across 1920×1080 .mov files from DSLRs. Most of my work is shortform, single-cam, EFP (business video, local/regional commercials etc.). Like I said, I have been able to squeak by with a laptop for post, but it is time to step up to a more versatile system. I use CS4 and frequently have PR, AE, PS open and running at the same time. Your advice is greatly appreciated.
