I misunderstood.
The ability to record 4..2.2 to external source – ( via a BMD or KONA ) – was what I was looking for.

I just sent my camera in..

Had i known that 24P could not be sent over the HDSDI “LIve” – I would not have bothered!

That functionality was the “killer app” for me, now its gone.

Just checked the specs for KONA 3 : no 1080 24P there either…….. surprised about that

I have now found out that the card works.

Apparently the HD-SDI does not send just any type of resolution and frame rate out?

Ive been succesfull with 720p 50 for instance , and some of the 1080 Interlaced versions.

But can someone tell me a progressive 1080 setting on the EX1 that will actually go out the HD-Sdi?

EX1 slowdowns in cinema tools is something many here ask about.

I myself have problems grasping cinematools.

Maybe you could do the Cow a big favour and post an easy tutorial with some screenshots?

Wow, this is a fantastic tread.

I wish more europeans knew that the liberal, sensible american still exists.

In scandinavia, where I live, americans have always been held in the highest regard.

Not so anymore. Europeans are turning more and more cold towards the US every day, you can blame your POTUS and his henchmen for that.

Was under the impressions that the ex1 had no such feature….

Make a new folder on the usb drive – and give it a unique name.

>Copy the BPAV folder into the new folder with the unique name.

Can I then use Sony transfer to browse the USB location?
