Thanks for your reply. Kind of busy here so I missed your answer in the first place…
I just installed Assimilate Scratch (free 30 day trial version) and imported the cine files there. Here the results are quite OK. Again entirely different from Resolve and Speedgrade but the best so far.
The blue shadows must have been a wrong setting during the shoot, I just did another job shot on the same camera without the colorshifts in the shadows.
I am afraid Scratch is a keeper… Expensive, but my colorist is much happier now 😉Thanks,

I just downloaded the latest GlueTools (demo version). Whatever I try in the settings, I notice two things. First the color artefacts are still present and second, when I import a cine file straight into After Effects it states the file is ‘millions of colors’. According to Vision Research the cine files should be 12bit, so what’s going wrong here?

Ram preview appears to be better with multiprocessing on, but even with 3GB per thread I get warnings about frames not being rendered due to not enough RAM when I do a ‘real’ render.
And of course this still does not explain why my RAM-preview suddenly goes crazy while it has been working fine for years. Once the sequence is rendered and stored in RAM it should not matter how the processors were used during rendering I think.
Anyway, I’ll keep MP on for now, just have to remember to turn it off for the final render.Tnx,

I’ll try that tomorrow morning (I’m in the Netherlands so it’s 8 PM here now).
Let you know what happens.Tnx

Off. Though it makes no difference if I turn it on…

I prefer the old situation where I can have my music (and system sounds) through my build-in digital output and audio from AE through BM. Why? Because SDI audio goes through my video broadcast monitor (to make sure audio is sync and feed it to my analog mixer). When I set system audio to BM all audio has to go through my monitor, meaning it has to be turned on even when no image is shown. So now I have to switch audio setting in the control panel several times a day.
I can only hope this change will be undone… -
Mmmm… No reactions. Does this mean it’s a stupid question or is there really no way to output 25p?

See my previous post. After re-installing from scratch everything started to behave. A pain in the …., because I have to enter several serial numbers for every plugin. My original number, the update number to the next version and so on until I reach the current version. You’d think after 20 years of computing a better solution can be found. It’s tempting to use a pirated serial to avoid all this hassle…
Good luck,

I was afraid you were going to say that… I’ll be switching to an HD monitor soon, so I don’t want to spend money for only a couple of weeks.
I guess I’ll just have to be patient. Thanks,
