Helloo! we are talking about the trial version here, downloaded from the official site. Do you mean that trial has to be purchased?

as a matter of fact I also have a third partition where I’ve installed linux, it’s a dual boot system 😉

Regarding partitioning, it’s a 500GB drive and I use the first partition for the OS and all critical apps and files and the second one for all the non important bulk. This way I can easily back up drive C with norton ghost, not having to backup the whole 500GB every time

I believe that in order to post in Sony forums you have to be a registered buyer, so it’s kind of catch 22

    Thanks everyone for helping

    best

I have split the hard drive into two partitions and since letter D was assigned to the optical drive, the second partition was assigned the next available letter.
I then moved the page file there cause it has much more free space. Sure it has nothing to do with the specific problem

maybe someone has kept the installation log? It is in C: Users XXX AppDataRoaming Sony.
I’d like to compare it with mine cause I think the error I posted above is the reason. Although in this case I have no clue why customaction_x86.dll cannot be copied

thanks, but it seems not to be the case. I have disabled Avast and no other programs are running. Even tried in safe mode and it does exactly the same.
What really bugs me is that no matter how much I google it I see no other similar case, ie. installer exiting whithout any message.
Other thank that the computer itself runs great and never had a problem with any 32 or 64 bit application
