And apparently you can really never go home again. MPEG Video Wizard, after a month using Vegas 13, feels as ancient and archaic as I thought Vegas was to MPEGVW. Also sound syncing was impossible. So using Vegas is there a way to approximate a transport file. What settings in render would leave me with, of absolute priority, the best possible quality equivalent to a transport file, while as a secondary priority using space efficiently with the rendered file. My goal being to edit down a 17GB transport file, to its usable 5-10GB is .ts measurements, that can then be re-editable and re-rendered later to a near perfect quality match as what i originally created from the original .ts
Not looking for perfect, but until Sony gets off their backsides and builds a proper transport export, what might be the closest approximation?
