Thanks! What I will do is edit the short film and simply do the correction on the shots selected. Thanks for the advice!

Hi, Thanks for your response. What I mean is that it shifts every 5 seconds or so. The change is very slight. But it continues through the 60 minutes of footage I shot. Again its visible but is very slight. Just wanted to know if I have to shoot again or if that can be corrected in post. I’ve been reading some stuff here and it seems that I should have the the camera at a different shutter speed to shoot with fluorescent lighting something to do with “clear Scan”. I just would like to see if there any way that I can correct that since we put a lot of work into this shoot and the results were great besides that issue.

Hey, Gordon thanks for your reply. My camera is HDV. The canon XHA1. I would have place this question on the Canon forum but questions are not answered there and I previously had a DVX and Noah and friends answer questions quickly. The laptop I have has Windows 7. I’ll check the software you mentioned. My other question was if my laptop needed to have an HD screen? To judge focus accurately that is.

Since no one answered the question about resolution on the Canon XHA1, I actually checked a review by Barry Green in which he says that when in 24F the Canon’s resolution drops by 15%. Also according to him is not a meaningful drop. In the review he was comparing the Canon XHA1 with the HVX. Just wanted to provide the info. for anyone else that needs it. Article is below.

I posted a post about the Canon XHA1 and shooting in 24f. Did anyone see the post?

    Thanks,

It does help. I really do like the look in 24p. Really do. I will look at the Barry Green article again. If its just the card that will do the trick then I will do a number of test that way. The other option in shooting standard High definition was to get a clean good image and then give the movie a film look in post. But from my experience is usually better if you do the film look in the camera. Thanks again guys!

So you think a feature can’t be done with this camera?

If I understand, We edited on Final cut pro so my editor would have to adjust or make the changes there? What I want to do is have a 16×9 version of the film for film festivals. If I can just have my master on dvcam and not have to upconvert to hd to get 16×9 then I will be happy.
