By offline, I mean the following preset:

* Compression(codec): Photo JPEG
* Frame Size: 320×240
* Pixel Ratio: Square
* Quality: 35%
* Frame Rate(NTSC): 29.97fps

I have since tried to import the quicktime to DVDSP, setting DVDSP to 16:9, and unfortunatley, I am getting the same results in the simulation window (a squashed image). Any ideas? Very frustrating..!

Other tips I should know about compression settings in DVD studio for a QT movie that is offline resolution?

Thanks, Shane. That would’ve never occured to me. Should I be wary of downgrading my OS? Apple seems to advise against it– saying to delete your disk first before installing?

About “Downgrade” installations
You should not reinstall an earlier version of the same software over a later version. These “downgrade” installs may seem to work, but Apple does not test nor recommend downgrade installations in most cases. Some installers prevent downgrade installations. If you need to reinstall an earlier version of Mac OS X, erase your disk first or choose the erase option in the Mac OS X Installer. Be sure to reinstall any software updates after reinstalling the operating system.

It is true. And I am aiming to capture it all high-res, but I’m afriad that my 7 year project has resulted in over 200 tapes
… granted, not all constitutes brilliant material… so I do like the idea of offlining some of it.
I am looking into a 4 TB raid solution, but not immediately ready to drop the dough.
