    Looks like Moire.

Adding a little Gaussian blur might help.

  • [Raf Chris] “The framerate of it is 59.97, and the footage varies from 59.55 to 59.97”

That means its variable framerate, convert with Handbrake to constant framerate,

The HD dvd also known as avchd disk will only hold 20 minutes and most standalone blurayplayer have trouble playing such disk. A thing to consider.

  • When playing an interlaced file on a computer which is a progressive screen you need to set the player to a di-interlaced mode.

  • That is rubbish!!
Of course you can use WS on interlaced footage.
I have done this many times in the past.
Make sure your sequence settings match the clips and displaymode is set to upper field.
WS can do wonders it cannot perform miracles.
So a fast pan might be tricky.
