Select item in menu, go to Object and select Convert to Button

I am not quite sure what you are trying to achieve but position one item in the right position as a lower third.
Right mouse click on this clip and copy.
Select all the others, right mouse click and Paste Attributes.

You might want to use the timecode effect (Effects / Video Effects / Video

The problem here is lots of effects and a underpowered machine for CS4 with hdv material. What ever export settings you choose it will take a loooooooooong time.
Export directly from the timeline to mpeg2-dvd with default settings (VBR 1 pass). Import this file into Encore and author for dvd.

HDV is mpeg2 with 1440×1080 resolution.
Premiere captures as mpeg, HDV Split as m2t.
You can convert hdv to Cineform avi if you like. Very easy to edit.

Use Microsoft avi with the lagarith codec, you can set par to 1.0 and change the dimentions to 1050×576.

Make the output 1050×576 with square pixel

Have you installed the mjpeg codec.
That is the only way to get footage of the Nikon to play.

Sorry about that, when there is no video is’t usually a uneditable format.
Download the trial mjpeg codec from Mainconcept, that will solve your problem.
