I am editing Cannon G1 1080i footage in a 1080i HDV Premiere Pro Project on an iMAC. Some of the footage was captured in 2007 through PPRO CS2 on a PC, some of the footage was captured recently through PPRO CS4 on a PC and a day ago I captured some of the footage through PPRO CS4. All of this footage was filmed on the same camera and captured in the same manor.

When I render my sequence the rendered play back looks terrible. It is interlaced, grainy and plays back choppy. I tried deleting all of the rendered files and exported the sequence straight to the media encoder but the final move looks just like the rendered playback. When the clips are simply dropped into my sequence and played back they look fine. It is only when I render that I have an issue.

    Any Thoughts?

    cheers.

How did you create your project?

It sounds something like you render settings are set to a different resolution or incorrect codec….

    Just a guess….

Are you using preview files for output instead of Max Render Quality?
