Update to 5.0.3. that fixed a lot of problems.

1. disable in options.
2. every type of image can be set to its own default player.
3. usually dvd audio is AC3, install the AC3 filter codec.
4. deinstall i-tunes, no big deal. Happened to me more than once.

In the preferences you can set the duration for stills prior to import.
Or when already imported you can adjust the duration by selecting the stills in the project window (CS5 only) and change the duration in the pulldown menu Clip.

MOD files do not have the widescreen flag.
Select all the clips in the project window and go to Interprete Footage and set it to widescreen. That should do the trick.

Why on earth do you want to play the timeline while doing something else. You get cross-eyed…… 😉
