the drive is connected to my computer via firewire 800 cable. As to how the drive is formatted….this is going to sound bad but, I purchased it, installed the software, and off I went. I wasn’t aware that it had to be formatted. It is a Maxtor III Turbo 1Tb. That is all i know.
