Thanks for all of that info. Only problem is – it’s me designing the slides and I’m using Keynote for the first time!! I was told I’d be editing it all on FCP – but when I arrived, it was all on Keynote. My deadline is Monday so I hope to resolve any issues….but basically I should be able to export moving slides in Keynote to FCP right? I tested a couple and they looked ok….but there are 18 so who knows what can happen!!

It’s DV. I film using a Sony PD170 in Pal and capture the footage off my Sony MiniDVCAM player.

I am editing in Pal.
My Capture Settings-scratch disks are set to my Lacie external hard drive….all four of them are ticked in one line (Video capture, audio capture, video render & audio render ….though the tick under audio capture is grey). Is that wrong?
And minimum allowable free space on scratch disks, as i was advised, is set to 5000MB

I have not compressed the video.

What should I do to stop the stopping?!
