Hi guys thanks..
I think what confused me so much was that the arms legs head etc were linked to to body and the body is linked to a null. Reversing keyframes transform flip to the null made the girl disappear.! But reversing/transform flip the body did. But I think I have it now thanks.

This is not what they do… only…if it is switched off on top layers does it affect all comps below… and assume it does not effect ones above on lower comps. i.e. if motion blur on a moving ball 3 nests down can be made by activating only “motion blur” on the top comp. Virtually all comps have alpha areas. As far as I can see… pixels are changing constantly. But could I have a motion blur and then even more blur and even more blur, if 3 nested comps had switches activated.

I should have said it is 2D.
Mesh warp works great with a bit of bulge too for height… with lots of rows and columns.. Never tried it before. Its good. Shame there is no skew or tilt with bulge effect because that would have been good, but I could not get the angle right.

Great thanks that works… actually its not horses and elephants but that was the only way to describe it. Its part of my latest animation called “the plastic planet” and it is different plastic rubbish going around the world like a merry go round.!!! But If I had tried to describe it you may have thought me mad!!!

I have a main comp and inside this I made a layer which had a horse and all the atributes of movements. Then I nested this (called it horse) and moved the attributes when the nest was made. So I have a new comp (horse) and inside it the layer.
I want to duplicate the comp (horse) and then rename it (elephant) and then go into that nest and replace the image to one of an elephant.
I want to go back to main comp and move the comp (Elephant 10 frames). So I then should have a horse followed by an elephant.

That is what I tried in the first place and hence this post.
I am feeling pretty stupid as I cant think why this is happening. If I change the name of the comp in settings the comps have different names. but If I change the layer inside in any of them… i.e tint. It tints all of the comps. So these comps are still the same despite name change. These layers are just 1 layer no nests just 1 plain layer. It should work.
Maybe I can just make new comps and copy the masks etc on that comp. and copy paste the layer inside, but I just does not seem to be easy for some reason.

I think some of this has been done in Corel Painter which has a very difficult to use movie script.. or maybe real time filmed and imported and distorted.

Tight editing probably in AE …capture the numbers on this software, copy as new layers above the main background layer, then mask off carefully. all but the numbers. They both have demo trails to have a go.

Hi…
Easy!! screen recording software like Camtasia for the PC or Screenflow for the Mac. Then if you want export to avi or mov…. then into AE or editing software, but they both have very basic editing software in them. You can replace and remove the cursers on both of these, as the cursers are recorded on a different track.
