You don’t technically NEED one , but it’s best to have one. Any customs officer on any given day etc.

I think it may be better if you give us some details of what you are trying to achieve. A panoramic talking head, a view of a factory? What do you want the audience experience ?

Okay that Seg has been discontinued for years so used video switchers = buyer beware. The Videonics does a job that is suitable for some applications. What is your application? I notice that you don’t mention quality. Where does that fit into the mix ( bad pun )?

I’m very interested in how the sound get efficiently mixed into the recording. I take that these computer capture methods require a line from a mixer back to the camera ?

Can you control each audio feed back in the computer?

Yes bumping up the brightness will work ,but as I mentioned different projectors and signal paths require different settings . I would try it at the projector end to start with.

First and foremost set the projector to factory default and go from there . You should be able to get a reasonable picture from doing this . Write down the amount that you have had to boost the picture and then replicate that in your NLE.

It may sound pretty like a pretty crude way to do it, but until the industry relises that the old broadcast standard does not apply to all of todays methods of play back, we are stuck with this crude color correction method.

I’m been making videos for some of the current LED walls an it’s a frigging nightmare.
